Being Mindful

I'm trying to practice being Mindful....sounds easy right??
The first step I'm trying is to remind myself what I'm doing at the present moment, for example
self: "I'm typing my thoughts into the computer"
although this makes me smile and feel a little silly it is very helpful, it quiets the monkey mind and focuses my energy.
